Do you want to grow your own food?

If you want to EASILY, SUCCESSFULLY and CONSISTENTLY grow your own fruit, nuts, veg and herbs, you should be growing perennial edible plants. Anyone can grow them, even if you have very little free time or gardening experience.

We can set you up

Get in touch and we can discuss which perennial edible plants you would like in your garden and where best to grow them. If your garden needs work to prepare appropriate growing areas, we can come and create your productive food garden. We can then provide and plant your plants.

What are perennial edible plants?

Most UK food growers opt to grow annual plants such as potatoes, carrots, courgettes, lettuce, peas and tomatoes. These plants are called annuals because they need to be replaced the following year. As well as the time and cost involved with replacing plants, annual plants are tricky to grow successfully because they are delicate in our climate and struggle with our short growing season. Perennial plants are tough and have no bother shrugging off frosts and sub-zero temperatures.

Our range of plants

We grow, sell, deliver and plant a wide range of perennial edible plants. All our plants love the UK climate and will crop year after year.

No-fuss food growing

Growing perennial edible plants is not much more complicated than planting your plant and harvesting, harvesting, harvesting. Perennial edibles such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, asparagus, hazelnuts, artichokes, chives, plums and pears are easy to grow and wonderful to eat, year after year.

Make it happen

Perennial edible gardens are perfect for busy 21st century households who want to grow their own food and live more in tune with nature. We all know that it is better for us and better for our planet to grow and eat more of our own food, but successfully growing conventional annual plants is a big ask, especially if you are new to food growing or don’t have much free time. Perennial edible plants survive year on year and require little to no work or experience.

Perennial Edible Gardening ticks all the boxes

Sustainable, eco-friendly, efficient, beautiful, green, harmonious, biodiverse, productive, fresh, healthy, DOABLE.

Better for you. Better for the planet

Growing our own food is one of the best ways we can reduce our environmental footprint. Nearly half of UK food is imported, much of it travelling in from places as far away as America, Africa and Asia, and this means high carbon emissions. Ingredients which are UK-grown almost always come from large-scale agriculture and that means soil degradation, water and air pollution and biodiversity loss. No plastic is required when we grow our own food and because we can pick as and when we are ready, homegrown food is fresher, tastier and healthier.
